Brancusi "Sleeping Muse" posthumous recast from a mold taken from the original owned by the Rumsey family. Charles & Mary Rumsey bought the original from Brancusi and it was found in storage after their deaths. Prior to the sale of the original, a mold was made by the family and approximately 8 pieces were created and given to close friends. Believe this is the first time one of these pieces has come up for auction.
